Buddhabhivandana Vesak Festival – 2026
Vote of Thanks and Words of Appreciation
We are pleased to announce that the “Buddhabhivandana Vesak Festival”, jointly organized by Ashoka College and Vidhyarathna University College was successfully held for five days from 30th May to 3rd June 2026.
We sincerely express our gratitude to The Venerable members of the Maha Sangha, the Deputy Principals of both institutions and the Section Heads, and all members of the academic and non academic staffs who dedicated their time and effort towards the success of this event.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the lay and ordained students of Vidyarathna Pirivena and Ashoka College who creatively designed and prepared 35 Vesak lanterns, as well as to the teachers who worked tirelessly day and night to make this festival a success.
Our appreciation is further extended to the Prefects Guilds, Traffic Control Units, Media and Photography Units, The Designing Unit , the students of the Vidyarathna Cadet Corps, Ashokian Scouts and the students representing the Sports Division of both institutions for their active contribution throughout the festival period.
We also convey our sincere thanks to all members of the Eastern and Western Music and Aesthetic Sections who contributed to the successful presentation of the Vesak Bhakthi Gee Programme.
Finally, we gratefully remember and acknowledge the invaluable support and encouragement extended by the beloved parents of both institutions, who were a great source of strength throughout these activities in numerous ways.
And A sepcial thanks goes to all who immensely supported in organising and conducting Dansal for five days.
