INDEPENDENCE DAY 2026

The Independence Day Celebration 2026 at Ashoka College, Horana was conducted with great dignity and patriotic spirit by the Ashokians. The school premises were elegantly adorned with the national flag and decorative displays reflecting the pride of the nation. The programme commenced under the guidance and advice of Ven. Labugama Narada thero and ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, singing of the National Anthem, instilling a deep sense of unity and national pride among all present. Students actively contributed through meaningful speeches and cultural performances that highlighted Sri Lanka’s rich heritage and the significance of independence. The event served as a valuable reminder of our responsibilities as citizens and inspired the school community to uphold the values of freedom, harmony, and national unity.
